Social Responsibility

I am actively involved with a number of charities and I have been part of the  charity & volunteering team and the Sustainability committee in my previous place of work for 8 years. I have organised volunteering events for over 150 employees in the last seven years, working with a range of charities (mainly environmental) including

Award
With Monty Halls at the MCS AGM 2012

In support of the MCS I have run the ‘Big Blue Day’ in my workplace since 2008 ( generating total donations of over £50,000), and arranged for the adoption of a beach in Essex during summers 2009/10/11/13/14/15 where I ran educational events for over 75 volunteers. MCS awarded me Fundraiser of the Year in 2011-12 and Outstanding Achievement Award in 2015.

I use my skills as web designer to do pro-bono work creating and maintaining a number of non profit websites (Big Mamathon, Badia di Pattano). I organise a number of personal events to raise money for various charities (including supperclubs where I cook for people in my own home).

Years ago I also set up a small company called Monkey Leaf to produce and sell home made, hand made natural palm oil free soap and donate profits to the Orangutan Appeal UK. I had to stop due to becoming a mum (lack of time).

Given my extensive experience gained through years of corporate social responsibility, I am able to act as a consultant to those individuals or / and enterprises who are looking to support charitable causes, whether staff volunteering or direct donations, within their philanthropic strategy.  Please get in touch if you wish to discuss further.

I am a member of various charities such as English Heritage, British Museum, BFI.
